Potty Progress
I know it's been a long, long time since we've blogged over here. In fact, I'm not sure if anyone is still reading this anymore or if they've completely given up on me. Maybe I'll give the blog a shout-out in my next photo email and some of you will make your way over here again.
Anyway, there have been a few new things going on in Matteo's life. He can now actually say "Two!" when he sees two of something, instead of just holding the fingers up. And anything >1 still gets all five fingers up. We only have 4 1/2 more months to work on holding up two fingers (on the same hand) to show how old he is! He is an expert on blowing on things, though, so he should have those candles out in no time, unless he tries to pull them out and set the cake on fire.
We've also had some progress in Matteo's learning to use the potty! I am way too lazy right now to actually get a system of potty training going cause I'm not sure he's completely ready (and, again, I'm lazy) but I think we'll be headed there after the holidays. But Matteo has peed on his little potty twice now which was very exciting both times! He got lots of shiny star stickers all over him, most of which he ate (or tried to) and was very proud. He also enjoys smiling for the camera while he's sitting on the potty too. I think the hardest thing about this whole process might be convincing him to go without an audience. Cause where's the fun in that? So here he is, fully clothed, since this is the Internet after all, but still showing off his superb technique.
